Virtual escape room

Hi friends!

I want to share with you one of my latest activities. I created it using genial.ly. At the beginning, it seems a little bit complicated, but after a weekend of trying it, I discovered a very powerful tool.

This time, I've decided to create a virtual escape room based on Harry Potter, one of my favorite sagas.

The idea is to send the link of the escape room to my students after watching the film or reading an adaptation of the books. I think that creating a fun proposal for our class is always a good choice.

Reading & Writing

 Hi again!

Today I´m here to propose you an activity that I use to use with my students. I adapt  it depending the age and the level but is always similar.

First of all I give you a little tale, that you should read and then continue the story.

So…here I give you the first part of today´s tale:

Benny was a teddy bear that loves discovering the world exploring around. He lived in the bedroom of Sally, a really nice girl. One day Sally, took Benny into her granny´s garden so he decided to explore around. While hi was walking around he found a small door in a tree and when he opened he discovered…

Extra tip!: Kids can design a picture of the tale usen Bing, an AI that creates images according to the description that we give.

C´mon continue with Benny´s adventure!

Listening task.

GOT TALENT!

Another one of my passions is music, and whenever I can, I try to create activities with songs. This time it's about one of the most well-known songs by The Beatles, "Hey Jude."

By clicking here you will find a template where some words are missing, and another one with the complete lyrics.

The goal is for the students to discover which words are missing by listening to this beautiful song.

C´mon friends, let´s play some music!

Speaking game.

Who doesn't like to play?

Everyone, youngs and adults, enjoy playing board games. My proposal is the following: give the students different landscape or situational flashcards that they should discribe to a classmate who will have to draw it on their tablet.

By playing this game, we enhance conversation, and even though they may think it's a drawing exercise, they will be developing communication skills and improving their oral expression.

Click here if you want to check some of the flashcards that I´ve prepare! You can use them if you want but let me know in comments what do you think of this game.

Cheers!,

Carmen
